Mehmet Turgut was murdered on 25 February 2004 at a kebab shop in Rostock. The 25-year-old came to Germany from Turkey as a youth and lived in Hamburg initially. On the day of the attack, Mehmet Turgut was helping out at his friend’s kebab shop.
