İsmail Yaşar was shot on 9 June 2005 at his kebab stall in Nuremberg. The 50-year-old had migrated to Germany from Turkey as a young man and had two children. Before opening his kebab stall, İsmail Yaşar ran a shop for clothing alterations and a second-hand store.
